Earlier this year I went to Turkey to celebrate turning 30 (eep!) and to see two very special friends (with one lovely boyfriend in tow). It was the best week - Turkey has my heart.
The food, the people, the culture - everything!
As soon as we arrived we could see locals fishing from the Galata Bridge, right by our hotel.
On closer inspection we found the fish markets right next to the bridge where you could buy the freshly caught produce. Amazing.
And then right in the fish markets there were men with bbq carts or a small restaurant to eat your freshly caught and bought seafood. This is what life is about. A meal that you can see being caught, prepared and cooked right in front of you from where it came from. And all for £2.
